The Group, Inc. Real Estate was founded in 1976 by 11 Fort Collins Realtors with the dream of creating a company where everyone who worked there would be an owner. The concept of employee ownership was revolutionary in the real estate industry and the real estate community predicted this unique company would not succeed. However, the founders were committed to mastery, their customers, their community, to being leaders in real estate, and to each other. The company immediately established itself as the market leader where it has remained for the past 40 years. From the beginning The Group has believed that our relationships with our customers and with each other are more important than the money or the deal. Usually our customers are making one of the largest financial and emotional decision of their life and our mission is to help them get where they want to go on time and make it easier for them. As owners of our company we work cooperatively with one another, sharing our knowledge and experience, and putting our customers first. Our systems have been created and refined over time to make the home buying and home selling experience smooth for our customers. Today The Group has 230 full-time professional Realtors and nearly 100 highly trained support staff working in six locations in northern Colorado. In 2015 The Group ranked near the very top of the list of the most productive companies in the country in terms of number of transactions per Realtor. The Group currently has several Managers and Realtors who are either former military themselves, or have family members in the Military. It is in our hearts to graciously serve former and active military members wishing to buy or sell real estate. We take great pride in northern Colorado and our Partners have earned a reputation of being leaders in our communities. We have established a fund, GroupGives, at the Community Foundation of Northern Colorado that has invested hundreds of thousands of dollars in organizations that support our mission that 'Everyone deserve a place to call home.' In 2016 individual contributions to United Way by Group Partners placed The Group as the United Way’s largest corporate donor in Larimer County.
